Church Planting and Discipleship
The East African team has been actively planting house churches since 2006. Currently there are
over 200 home fellowships in East Africa associated with the KDM Kenya team. There are fellowships present in
Kitale, Kakamega, Saboti, Cherangani, Matisi, Webuye, Chavakali, Kisumu, Maseno, Yala, Butere, Siaya, Shimanyiro,
Vihiga, Tigoi, Gambogi, Shibuli, and many, many more.
Current house church clusters in Western Kenya:
Each of these locations does not represent a single fellowship, but rather a cluster of
fellowships. That is because the practices taught and modeled are those of the New Testament: simple, organic, and
multigenerationally reproducible. One fellowship oftentimes spawns several.
For a better understanding of New Testament practices, I suggest you read or listen to Keys
to Kingdom Expansion and The Church in the House located on the resources page of this
website here.
I also recommend a great series by Wolfgang Simson entitled Starfish, here.
Furthermore, you can glean from the best-of-breed resources on multi-generational church
planting all compiled in one location by a team of experienced mission trainers at www.Paul-Timothy.net.
